Accessibility at Good Writing App
Good Writing App is committed to making our website and editor usable by everyone, including readers and writers with disabilities. We design and build to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as the technical benchmark, and aim to exceed it where it matters most for our audience.
Conformance status
Good Writing App is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some content does not yet fully conform; we are actively working on remediation.
What we've done
- Added a skip link and consistent page landmarks on marketing and legal pages.
- Provided visible focus indicators and honored reduced-motion preferences sitewide.
- Audited marketing page images, headings, and link text for clearer access.
- Published this accessibility statement with a dedicated feedback channel.
Known limitations
Editor and analysis tools. Our writing editor and analysis panel are complex interactive components. We are actively working to bring them into compliance with screen readers and other assistive technologies. If you use a screen reader and encounter barriers in the editor, please contact us at accessibility@goodwriting.app — we want to hear from you.
Auth flows, in-app settings, and full editor accessibility improvements are planned for a follow-up phase.
Technologies relied upon
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. We test with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
